With all our model photography shoots we can either carefully select the right model to be brand-relevant and visually appropriate for the garment type, or we can work with client provided models. For all photo shoots we make sure posing, lighting and styling are combined to capture the desired image for sectors ranging from casual wear to lingerie.

We want you to be as creative as possible and achieve any look you want. We offer full body, cropped (unrecognizable) and detail model images. If you’re after the typical e-commerce shot on white or grey background or a more colourful backdrop we have you covered. Bringing in props and different textures can also pop and add interest in letting your story of your brand come through.
Location shoots either outdoors or in another building can really elevate your images as well.
Model Photography
Ghost Mannequin Photography
Also known as “invisible mannequin”, this style of photography allows the customer to instantly understand how a garment will appear in real life without the added cost of a model. This technique highlights and allows us to capture the shape and outline of the garment to be a realistic portrayal of the fabrics detailing and finishing’s.
Your items are steamed perfectly before styled on the mannequin where we make sure the fit is perfect before photographing. The mannequin is then removed digitally to leave just the garment that appears empty with all details showing.
Product Photography
This type of photography is used to highlight any product including beauty products, handbags, shoes and jewellery. It is an uncomplicated approach, usually showcasing items on a clean white background with reflection or shadows to create dimensions within images. Different angles and lighting patterns can also be used to generate visually engaging images.

Flat Lay / hung Photography
As the name suggests this type of photography captures garments on a flat – normally horizontal – surface on which the garments are arranged. Sometime with certain items this can be done with hanging the items which allows for the natural shape and movement to fall. This method is an alternative to the classic ghost mannequin photography style but offers a sharp and controlled finish.

We have worked with many different product types, jewellery, beauty products, and accessories to name just a few. Creative photography demands it own set of skill, from selecting the best props, and background to product placement and the correct lighting to make it look its best.

Creative flat Lay Photography

Food Photography
At Sage Studio we’re excited to be offering food photography to our portfolio. Still life food photography is used to capture attractive, taste bud grabbing images in the use of advertisements, magazines, packaging, menus or cookbooks. Professional food photography is a collaborative effort, between the client, one of our photographers, a food stylist and a prop stylist. Food photography demands its own set of skills, to browning the outside of a chicken wing to balancing the lighting correctly to make the glazes pop. At Sage Studio we’re confident that all our skills will make you want to come back for more!
